In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the home.

Responsibilities
Our children's home provides care and support to children and young people that require intervention. We utilise the secure base model of Care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The overall focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for young people, we do this through multi‑agency working, personalised care planning and creating positive attachments.
Due to the location and nature of the service, all applicants must drive and hold a UK driving licence.
As long as you can demonstrate the values needed for a role within residential childcare, we will give you all the training and support you need to progress.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Residential and Childcare is essential, as well as previous experience within a residential childcare setting.
* Resilience – You will work with vulnerable children who may have emotional and behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated challenges, requiring resilience.
* Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs and ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
* Organisation – In addition to supervising the staff team, you’ll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information relevant to the care of our young people.
* Caring – You should be naturally caring and compassionate, providing the best care we can offer.
* Attentive – Each young person is different, so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
