The postholder will ensure a clearly defined programme of inspection requirements for each asset type, clear data capture requirements, and targets for inspection unit costs. They will ensure inspections are delivered to the required quality and meet contractual and statutory deadlines, within unit cost targets. They will also work with Delivery Leads to determine the delivery strategy for each type of inspection, including use of internal CPS resources or outsourced subcontractors based on defined decision criteria.

* Process Ownership: Take responsibility for all inspection delivery processes for all asset types, including scheduling, execution, defects information, data capture requirements, timescales and quality; lead on process improvements and efficiencies.
* People Leadership: Lead a large team to deliver inspections on time and to quality; ensure staff development, succession planning and talent retention within the inspection team.
* Budget Management: Monitor and control performance against the in-year inspection budget; implement corrective actions to maximise financial and operational performance.

* Proven experience delivering large inspection programmes across multiple asset types or experience planning and executing large volumes of similar planned work.
