19. Working Hours: Full-time, hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will:
20. Develop and lead a digital marketing strategy and implementation plan to support Shepherd Neame’s business priorities, working closely with the Director of IT to align digital strategies
21. Liaise with cross-functional teams to implement and deliver a unified approach across all digital platforms with clear accountability for budgets and services
22. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the business and external agencies to build dashboards and define KPIs that track digital performance across platforms, using insights to inform and optimise strategy
23. Oversee content management across all digital platforms
24. Develop a multi-channel, e-commerce, and unified commerce roadmap to support business growth and customer experience
25. In collaboration with the marketing team, coordinate email marketing and social media activity, ensuring consistent messaging and active community engagement
26. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and align digital tools that support business operations, including systems for bookings, menus, feedback, and ordering
27. Support pub teams with the adoption of digital tools, providing training and guidance to ensure effective use
28. Work alongside the IT team to ensure all digital platforms meet GDPR, data protection, and digital compliance standards
29. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Digital team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
30. Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, providing regular insights and recommendations to enhance digital strategy
The Ideal Candidate:
31. Degree or Diploma in Web Development, IT, Digital Media or Marketing
32. Proven experience in leading digital strategy
33. Strong technical knowledge, including: Front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for editing and troubleshooting; CMS management, web hosting & domain configuration; and SEO best practices and website analytics tools
34. Demonstrable experience in website development and design
35. Proficiency in basic design tools such as Canva
36. Understanding of data capture, GDPR requirements and digital compliance regulations
37. Proven project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver timely results
38. A creative mindset with demonstrable experience leading end-to-end creative briefs
39. Strong influencing skills and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive impact across all levels of the business
40. Excellent communication skills – written, creative and verbal
41. Highly resilient and able to maintain focus and positivity in a fast-paced environment
42. Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of information sharing and communication
43. A proactive self-starter with a curious, creative mindset and a drive for continuous innovation
44. Enthusiastic and passionate for pubs and beer with a keen interest in emerging trends and industry best practices
45. Full clean UK driving licence
