We are the largest employer in Devon, serving over 615,000 people across more than 2,000 square miles. Our core services include emergency, specialist and general medical care at North Devon District Hospital and Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford). We also provide community inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, primary care services, specialist community services and Sexual Assault Referral Centres.
Position details
Pay: £47,810 to £54,710 a year pro‑rata (Band 7)
Contract type: Fixed term, 12 months
Working pattern: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with core office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Location: North Devon District Hospital, Raleigh Park, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 4JB
Job responsibilities
This high‑profile programme will see you working as part of the Our Future Hospital team, providing specialist advice to develop and deliver communications that engage stakeholders at local, national and political levels. You will support the delivery of business cases at strategic, outline and full business case levels, offering guidance on your specialist areas. You will be a key member of the programme, working across teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with the programme’s plan. Your problem‑solving skills, leadership, and mentorship of junior staff will be essential.

 * Communication and engagement experience on high‑value estates projects
 * Experience of working within the NHS
 * Proven experience of developing complex engagement plans for large programmes
 * Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
 * Strong relationships with internal and external staff, patients, public and other key stakeholders
