Clinical Specialist – Pelvic Health

Salary: Up to £45,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Specialist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a Part time role for 24 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
* Undertake expert assessment and treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pre/postnatal conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
* Develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans, including internal assessment, biofeedback, manual therapy, and exercise rehabilitation.
* Act autonomously in clinical decision-making and management of a complex, specialist caseload.
* Act as the clinical lead for pelvic health physiotherapy, ensuring service quality, consistency, and alignment with best practice.
* Develop and implement clinical pathways, patient education materials, and outcome measures.
* Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service evaluation projects.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
* Extensive post-registration experience in women’s, men’s, and pelvic health physiotherapy.
* Recognised postgraduate training in pelvic health or continence physiotherapy.
* Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment skills.
* Experience in service development, teaching, or supervision.
* Membership of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) group or equivalent.
* Independent prescriber or training in injection therapy (if applicable to setting).
* Experience in private healthcare or specialist pelvic health clinics.
* Involvement in audit, research, or clinical guideline development.
