A leading engineering and construction organisation is seeking a Process Design Engineer to join its project delivery team in Northern Ireland. This role focusses on the process design of water and wastewater engineering solutions and proposals for major clients.
Your new role
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, pumping systems, and process performance evaluations. This position offers exposure toplex projects and collaboration with civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare preliminary and detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater process engineering activities.
2. Produce optioneering reports and project documentation in line with standards.
3. Evaluate hydraulic designs and apply knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
4. Coordinate with project engineers to ensure timely tender submissions and process design delivery.
5. Maintainmunication with other engineering disciplines to develop turnkey solutions.
6. Review supplier information forpliance with project requirements and client standards.
7. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality systems.
8. Support business development by demonstrating technicalpetence and quality assurance.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Degree-qualified in environmental, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent).
10. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment.
11. Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to manage workload and deliver projects to time, cost, and quality objectives.
13. Proficient in using engineering software packages.
14. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
15. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills.
