A London Borough is seeking a dedicated Parking Design Engineer on a contract basis to join their Highways team. This role involves developing and designing Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), engaging with the public, and contributing to the improvement of local parking infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and designing Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs)
Engaging with the public to gather feedback and address concerns
Utilising CAD software for design purposes
Conducting site visits and assessments to inform design decisions
Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders within the council
Providing technical advice and support on parking design and related matters
Job Requirements:
Experience in CPZ development and design
Proficient in using CAD software
Understanding of working within a council setting and the political environment
Access to a car, valid driving licence, and insurance for site visits
Strong communication and public engagement skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
