We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact projects within the Oil & Gas sector, working closely with our Project Engineering team. This client-facing role is pivotal to our continued growth and will be instrumental in shaping project outcomes from bid through execution.
You will be responsible for managing complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, and driving excellence across planning, controls, and delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, deep experience in project delivery, and fluency in tools like Microsoft Project for schedule management.
This role is directly linked to global project delivery, offering the opportunity to lead international engagements and collaborate across borders to deliver world-class structural monitoring solutions.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
* Lead full lifecycle delivery of structural monitoring projects, from bid phase through commissioning and close-out.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to align technical deliverables with client requirements.
* Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, identifying critical paths and dependencies.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across international locations.
Commercial & Client Engagement
* Act as the primary client interface, building trust and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support commercial teams during the bidding phase, contributing to scope definition, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
* Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims in collaboration with commercial and legal teams.
* Monitor project profitability and drive commercial performance through proactive cost control and forecasting.
Project Controls & Reporting
* Own project forecasting, budgeting, and manhour tracking.
* Implement robust reporting frameworks to monitor KPIs, financial health, and delivery milestones.
* Identify risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Project Engineering to ensure seamless integration of technical inputs.
* Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to meet project objectives.
* Support procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely acquisition of equipment and services.
Required
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
* Minimum 8+ years' experience managing complex technical projects in Oil & Gas or related sectors.
* Proven track record of successful project delivery in client-facing roles.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in bidding, contract management, and financial oversight.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
* Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and QHSE compliance.
* Experience working on global projects and managing international stakeholders is highly desirable.
