About the Role
As our Senior People Operations Advisor, you’ll help shape Riverford’s future. This role is for someone who stays grounded when people issues get messy, bringing calm, clarity, and good judgement to navigate sensitive situations while keeping the people involved at the centre.
You will be a trusted pair of hands when things feel tricky, especially around employee relations. Leaders and People Advisors will turn to you for support, knowing you’ll help them navigate complex or high‑risk moments fairly, consistently and with care. You’ll balance a strong understanding of employment law with Riverford’s values as an employee‑owned business – doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest option.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on employee relations and support senior leaders in complex or high‑risk situations.
* Advocate for a fair, consistent application of employment law in line with Riverford values.
* Navigate sensitive issues with calm, clarity and good judgement, ensuring people feel heard.
* Support the people side of growth, change and organisational restructuring.
* Collaborate with Leaders and People Advisors to offer guidance and strategic solutions.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in People Operations, HR advisory or employee relations roles.
* A track record of advising senior leaders in complex or fast‑moving environments.
* Experience supporting organisational change, restructures or growth.
* A relevant qualification in HR, employment law or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* CIPD or similar professional accreditation is helpful, but not essential.
