Our well-established client supplies a wide range of industry sectors; they operate across the UK and abroad! They are recruiting for a Senior Stores Controller with experience to join their busy and dynamic team!
Stores Controller Roles and Responsibilities:
* Be responsible for the daily movement of stock in the stores department
* Follow established booking in and out processes, regularly liaising with the Production Manager and Purchasing department to ensure information is shared e.g., restock issues
* Identifying and organising locations of parts at various stages in the production process, loading on and off of stillages and co-ordinating the parts in the two upright storage conveyors
* Ensure accuracy regarding stock identification / counting, recording it on their internal systems Tricorn
* Manual handling, operating lift trucks and other equipment dictated by the task
* Visually checking stock items for quality issues when received into Stores
* Learn to identify the componentry that makes up the kit of parts
* Operating the cleaning machines as dictated by workflow
The ideal Stores Controller will:
* Engineering or Manufacturing background
* Ability to organise and work to deadlines
* Physically fit and able to work in a physically demanding role
* Effective communicator and a pro-active approach
* Computer literate and able to used IT systems
* A good level of fitness
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 / Friday: 08:00 – 15:30 (Some Flexibility)
