Overview

Intervention Tutor role at Targeted Provision. Core subject tutoring in Maths, English, or Science for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH and other additional educational needs in Oxfordshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role

* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Assist learners referred by local authorities and schools, supporting their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring


Tutor tasks and responsibilities

* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support educational and social-emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback


Tutor requirements

* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD and other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residency and right to work (including remote/online assignments)
* Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies


Employment Status

* Engagements as a Worker for short-term opportunities; contract for service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed workload or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work done for us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
