Job Title: Program Coordinator / Sr.Director - Nursing
Role Summary
The Program Coordinator provides 24-hour administrative and clinical leadership for the assigned division or department. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care services while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance. The Program Coordinator works collaboratively with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams to support organizational mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities

Provides overall leadership and operational management for the assigned department/division.

Ensures compliance with professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., national and international healthcare accreditation bodies).

Develops, monitors, and improves operational performance metrics including length of stay, staffing, turnover, and overtime.
*
Leads quality improvement initiatives and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
*
Collaborates in the development and management of budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
*
Guides and supports managers and coordinators in daily operations, staffing, and patient care delivery.
*
Promotes staff development, continuing education, professional certification, and leadership succession planning.
*
Participates in disaster preparedness planning and emergency response activities.
*
Uses patient satisfaction and quality data to improve service delivery and patient-centered care.
*
Leads new initiatives, research activities, and innovation within the area of expertise.
*
Fosters a culture of professionalism, collaboration, quality, and safety.
*
Represents the department on committees, task forces, and special projects.
Education
*
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related specialty (required)
*
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health, or Allied Health (required)
*
Doctorate Degree (preferred)
Experience
*
Minimum of 11 years of post-registration clinical experience
*
At least 5 years in senior or upper management within an accredited general hospital
*
Demonstrated expertise in the assigned clinical specialty
Licensure & Skills

Current professional license
*
Proficiency in spoken and written English

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
