Role Overview
You will be a Senior Development Manager taking ownership of a portfolio of development projects from pre-contract to practical completion, driving projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with land and planning teams at the pre-contract stage.
* Procure and negotiate building works contracts to support successful additions.
* Manage and/or mentor Development Officers.
* Identify opportunities to maximise the value of schemes while ensuring continuous viability.
* Deliver new homes to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
* Conduct excellent stakeholder management, meeting or exceeding timescales, budget and customer expectations.
* Lead contract negotiations and obtain Board approval.
* Manage complex build budgets and accounts.
* Build strong relationships with local authorities, Homes England and development partners.
* Use decisiveness, persuasiveness and creative problem-solving to deliver on corporate strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
This position requires applicants to have a degree level or professional membership of a construction related institute e.g. RICS, RIBA, RTPI and extensive work experience in the sector.
* Demonstrable skill in leading contract negotiations and obtaining board approval.
* Extensive experience managing complex builds, budgets and accounts.
* Strong commercial awareness and keen eye for detail.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
