A high-performing and academically ambitious secondary school in Newham is offering a unique opportunity for exceptional graduates to gain hands-on classroom experience in a structured, supportive environment. This full-time, term-time only role starts ASAP and is ideal for graduates looking to transition into teaching through routes such as Schools Direct, PGCE or salaried training .
Role Summary:
* Support a subject-specialist department (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, etc.)
* Work closely with pupils across KS3-KS4, with some exposure to KS5
* Assist in delivering high-quality lessons and interventions
* Receive ongoing training, mentoring, and CPD
* Play a key role in driving academic progress and high aspirations
Salary & Start:
* £22,000 - £26,000
* Mon - Fri (Term-time only)
* Full-time position from September 2025 - July 2026 (with scope to train as a teacher the following year)
Person Specification:
* 2:1 or First-Class Degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
* Excellent academic background (e.g., AAA at A-Level or equivalent)
* Subject strength and intellectual curiosity
* A natural communicator with confidence and drive
* Passion for education and a desire to make an impact
* Committed to pursuing a career in teaching
