CNC Machinist
CNC Machinist Salary: £13.96 per hour
Shift Pattern: 38 hours per week, flexitime (MonThurs: 7am8:30am start, Fri: finish by 1pm if starting at 7am)
Orion are currently working with an innovative manufacturing company based near Weston-on-Trent, who are looking for an experienced CNC Router Programmer & Operator to join their team. If you have strong experience in CNC programming and operating router machines, then we want to hear from you!
CNC Machinist Duties:
* Programme, operate Router CNC machinery
* Create CNC programs and set up CNC router machines.
* Interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
* Select tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting paths.
* Simulate programs to identify and resolve issues before production.
* Perform first-part inspections and in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
* Carry out basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organised work area.
* Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and meet production schedules.
Required Experience:
1. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
2. Experience using machine controls and CAM software.
