Purpose of the role
To optimise and address Barclays' 3rd party spend requirements, including defining, developing, and implementing approaches for relevant spend categories and requirements, collaborating closely with the business and executing strategic sourcing and buying channel development/optimisation.
Accountabilities
Profile spend in category areas and develop understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers, and opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop RFPs, and ensure sourcing aligns with bank priorities.
Plan and execute sourcing events, including RFP/RFXs, negotiations to meet business needs for value, speed, compliance, and risk.
Monitor and guide controls and compliance requirements throughout the sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits, and data quality.
Develop, implement, and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned with policies, standards, and regulations.
Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve sourcing processes, including buying channel optimisation.
Attend conferences, participate in training, and conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends related to sourcing and category management.
