What you’ll do Carry out functional assessments with claimants to understand how their health conditions or disabilities impact their daily life. Use a structured approach to gather information through conversations and clinical questioning — no treatment or prescribing involved. Review existing medical evidence and request further details where necessary. Analyse how conditions affect mobility, cognition, daily activities, and ability to work. Compile clear, concise medical reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) — no diagnosis required.
