Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Chef with strong leadership skills to motivate and guide our small but mighty Kitchen team We are an award winning Cafe and Deli with an outstanding reputation for high quality food, baking, and service.
We are open 7 days per week but your working hours will be 42.5 hrs with 2 consecutive days off each week.
Shifts 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm....

NO LATE EVENINGS
NO EXTRA HOURS
The ideal candidate will have a passion for keeping things fresh and interesting using seasonal ingredients. They will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and inspire their team to achieve excellence in food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities
* Lead, train and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and production
* Oversee all aspects of menu planning, development, and execution in line with restaurant standards and customer preferences
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
* Manage inventory, source and order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability
* Ensure consistent quality in food preparation, presentation, and service
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold organisational standards
* Implement innovative culinary ideas while respecting established recipes and procedures
* Uphold a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Experience
* Proven management experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant/cafe or hospitality setting
* Extensive background in cooking, baking and food preparation techniques
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
