Located in the iconic Hotel Café Royal, Cakes & Bubbles is a one-of-a-kind dessert and champagne bar in collaboration with renowned Michelin-starred chef Albert Adri. Known for its innovative approach to desserts, signature items like the "Cheese Cake," and a carefully curated selection of champagne, cocktails, specialty teas, and coffees, Cakes & Bubbles offers an unforgettable experience for guests.
Working collaboratively with Albert Adri and his London based Sous Chef, Louis Hall, as Restaurant Manager of Cakes & Bubbles, you will lead the front-of-house team and be the face of the venue, delivering exceptional service in line with the restaurants Michelin-quality aspirations and the luxury standards of Hotel Café Royal. You will oversee daily operations, manage financial performance, and uphold a strong guest-centric culture.
The Role:
A s Restaurant Manager for Cakes & Bubbles, you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptive hands-on approach in order to manage service delivery within your outlet, to ensure that our team deliver a consistently high standard of personalised service to our guests. Providing fine, yet unobtrusive service is an art and as a member of a skilful management team you will be responsible for guiding our service team. Passion, knowledge of the latest trends in the London Restaurant scene and confidence are required trademarks for this position to successfully master the elegant delivery of our products and services.
You will of course be passionate about food and drink, with an exceptional knowledge on food, wine and beverages in order to train and develop a knowledgeable team skilled in all aspects of F&B and the seamless delivery of service. From a financial perspective you will play an active role in the formulation of the annual budget for your outlet, from which you will regularly report on business trends, performance, revenue and costs against your P&L. Your other management duties will include recruitment, staff scheduling, payroll and implementing Health & Safety policies and practices within your restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the team to deliver a warm, polished, and professional service experience.
Manage all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day operations including service delivery, team schedules, training, and guest feedback.
Collaborate closely with Chef Albert Adris team to maintain the vision and culinary identity of Cakes & Bubbles.
Drive performance metrics such as revenue, guest satisfaction scores, and employee engagement.
Ensure consistent presentation and service standards that reflect the values of a luxury 5-star hotel.
Monitor inventory, control costs, and contribute to strategic decisions around product offerings and promotions.
Act as an ambassador for the venue, building strong relationships with guests, influencers, media, and partners.
Your profile
You will have a proven background in a similar operational role, ideally gained within a luxury hospitality or restaurant environment as a Restaurant Manager.
Broad experience of payroll, scheduling, recruitment, training and performance management as this will form part of your day to day duties.
You must be able to work flexibly including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
