In May 2025, The London School of Architecture’s (LSA) merged with University College of Estate Management (UCEM). UCEM, a leading specialist university for the built environment, will be known as the University of the Built Environment from June 2025. The LSA will retain its name and identity. If appointed, you will be a UCEM employee working within the LSA.
We seek an exceptional leader with significant academic and practical experience to ensure the success of the LSA’s Part 2 (MArch in Designing Architecture) programme. You will drive growth and innovation, expanding the school’s impact on architecture and the wider industry.
Building on the success of the first decade, you will lead the school into its next phase, with opportunities to influence the architectural profession, the built environment, and construction industry. The merger with UCEM offers potential for a multidisciplinary approach to learning, teaching, and research.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the school in supporting students, partners, and members
* Promoting design excellence within the academic programme and industry
* Developing and implementing a strategic development plan
* Managing the school’s resources and budget
* Overseeing staff performance management
