5. Strategic Planning: Regularly assess the building, identify risks, and develop a plan to maintain compliance and safety.
6. Contractor Coordination: Manage third-party contractors, ensuring outsourced work (e.g. certifications) is completed to a high standard.
7. Environmental Monitoring: Monitor water and room temperatures to meet safety standards in a care environment.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with a strong mix of practical ability and compliance awareness:
8. Facilities or Compliance Background: Experience in public or sensitive environments such as GP surgeries, hospitals, or dental practices.
9. PPM Knowledge: Understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance and how to apply it effectively.
10. Hands-On Technical Skills: Comfortable with basic maintenance tasks—e.g. isolating water to change a tap or switching off power to replace a socket.
11. Building Awareness: Able to assess the condition of a building and develop practical strategies for upkeep and safety.
12. Contractor Management: Skilled in coordinating external contractors and ensuring quality standards.
13. Environmental Safety: Knowledge of monitoring water systems and room temperatures in a commercial or care setting.

15. Problem-Solving & Ownership: Proactive, independent, and confident in managing your own workload and responsibilities.
