Permanent role with a Local Authority Social Worker - Fostering Kinship Summary We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker with extensive experience in children's social work to join our countywide Kinship team. This role is crucial in assessing Connected/Kinship Foster Carers and potential Special Guardians, as well as providing ongoing support to these individuals. By collaborating with colleagues and other services, you will enhance the quality, stability, and support for caregivers, ultimately improving the lives of children and young people. Responsibilities Conduct complex assessments for Court/Foster Panel. Provide analytical and comprehensive reports within set timescales. Support and supervise approved connected foster carers. Cover private fostering and offer ongoing support to Special Guardians post-order. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance placement quality and stability. Experience Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in a statutory setting, preferably within Kinship & Fostering. Qualifications Registered with Social Work England. Fully qualified (SW Degree, DipSW, or equivalent social work qualification). Excellent assessment skills and understanding of regulatory requirements in Kinship care. Full driving license with access to a car. Offers Competitive salary: Basic Salary of 08HC £36,363 - £40,777. Market rate supplement: £5,000 per year.
