Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Part-time or Full-time available)
Pay: £14 – £18 per hour (dependent on experience)
A secondary school in Bradford is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to join their team immediately after the half‑term break. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous school-based DT experience who is confident supporting both staff and students across a busy DT department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
2. Supporting teachers during practical sessions and ensuring a safe working environment
3. Maintaining machinery and carrying out routine safety checks
4. Managing stock levels and ordering materials when required
5. Assisting with classroom displays and project preparation
6. Ensuringpliance with health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
7. Previous experience working as a DT Technician in a school setting
8. Strong understanding of workshop tools, machinery, and safety procedures
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Good organisational skills and attention to detail
11. Availability to start on Monday 23rd February
12. DBS on update service or happy to apply.
