Our Urgent Community Response Support Workers are vital to our healthcare teams across various settings: in the community, hospitals, or theatres.
You will be supported by comprehensive training and development programs.
It is essential to have a kind, caring, and patient nature, with the ability to work independently with support from a professional team.
Duties include personal care, delegated clinical duties, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with health and social care professionals to ensure patient safety at home. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Candidates should have NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, with experience working with older people in a community setting preferred. IT proficiency is necessary for electronic record-keeping. A comprehensive induction and support to complete the National Care Certificate will be provided.
The team: We have a vacancy in the Urgent Community Response WEB area – Woodbury, Exmouth & Budleigh.
This is a permanent position. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
You will travel across a wide area, primarily based at Exmouth Hospital, and must be flexible to work across multiple sites as needed.
Working pattern: The service operates on a 7-day rota, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Additional pay enhancements may apply depending on shift patterns.
You must hold a full UK driver’s license and have access to your own vehicle with appropriate insurance, as travel to patient homes is required.
