An exciting opportunity for a permanent Health and Safety Advisor at an esteemed engineering business in West Cumbria. The business is dedicated to meeting a high standard of health and safety and are looking for a hardworking individual to join their dynamic team.
The Role
The Health and Safety Advisor will play a critical role in promoting and implementing safety procedures throughout the business, specifically in a workshop environment with a focus on manufacturing and restoration work.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
* Advise and support colleagues on all HSE matters.
* Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
* Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
* Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
What we’re looking for
* Desirable to have experience in a health and safety role with exposure to manufacturing procedures.
* A NEBOSH general certificate.
* TechIOSH preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Natural problem solver.
* Ability to influence and engage in safe work practices.
