Functional Skills Tutor – Manchester (M2)
Are you passionate about helping learners develop essential skills in Maths and English? We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to provide one-to-one and small group tuition in Manchester (M2). This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference by supporting learners to gain confidence, improve skills, and achieve their Functional Skills qualifications.
The Role
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will:
* Deliver engaging, tailored lessons in Functional Skills Maths and English
* Help learners prepare for assessments and exams
* Support students in building confidence in practical and academic skills
* Track progress, provide feedback, and celebrate achievements
* Create a positive, motivating learning environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills Maths and/or English
* Understands the Functional Skills curriculum and assessment standards
* Can make lessons interactive, practical, and relevant
* Is patient, reliable, and passionate about helping learners succeed
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
