In this hands-on technical role, you’ll be at the heart of building innovative data solutions—contributing to impactful projects and long-term data products. You’ll take well-defined work packages and transform them into powerful data pipelines and robust database solutions that drive real value. You’ll apply technical problem-solving skills and good data management discipline to your tasks, demonstrating curiosity and a hunger to learn new data technologies and techniques.
We're big on flexibility—you'll spend most of your time working from home, with occasional visits to the office, but it’s your choice. If you prefer to be in the office more, that’s fine too. Our offices are located in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Salford Quays, Manchester, and Guernsey. We also accept applications from remote workers based in the UK or Guernsey.

What’s involved:
* Develop secure, high-quality data pipelines from various data sources.
* Ensure data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and optimized for storage and use cases.
* Build data observability and quality into pipelines, promoting self-testing mechanisms.
* Create solutions that transform data into storage areas, models, and reporting structures.
* Design physical data models to meet business needs and optimize storage.
* Perform unit testing to ensure code quality.
* Maintain clear documentation for transparency and understanding.
* Follow coding standards, architecture principles, and release processes.
* Create low to mid complexity BI solutions, including data marts and visualizations in tools like Power BI.
Experience & knowledge:
* Good communicator with rapport-building skills.
* Ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
* Experience in Python, VBA, SQL, or similar languages.
* Interest in data and how it drives business value.
* Understanding of the data lifecycle.
* Awareness of CI/CD practices.
