Responsibilities
* To be responsible for the collation, collection and inputting of the patient activity data required to monitor and quality assure complex knee service in the trust.
* To carry out all administrative duties in relation to the complex knee pathway, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
* To prospectively track the patient pathway using the Tracking and Escalation procedure.
* The ability to process and check large sets of data, run quality checks to identify gaps in individual patient records and ensure missing data is retrieved and entered into the database.
* Facilitation of STAR Care pathway (Support & treatment After Joint Replacement).
* Identify suitable patients through screening, facilitation, delivery & organisation of the assessment clinics & management of clinic letters & referrals.
* Work independently across departments and clinics at two hospital sites; liaise with specialist teams, clinical coders, medical records staff, pathologists, radiologists, etc., including external organisations.
* Assess and evaluate new computerised systems for usefulness in data collation and minimum dataset collection.
* Responsible for the efficient collection of the Complex Knee Waiting Times and minimum datasets, and entry of this information onto the database.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative duties to the Complex Knee Network teams, including photocopying, filing, basic clerical duties, distributing documents quickly and efficiently, and collection of notes.
* Prepare regular reports to the clinical team on performance against national guidelines and participate in local and national audits as required.
* Represent the Trust at Complex Knee Network information meetings to support data collection and post holder development.
* Work with information analysts to produce reports and validate data.
* Maintain good working relationships with Clinicians, Specialist Nurses, clerical and secretarial staff.
* Maintain a record of patients involved in STAR and PJI.
* Update information on the Bone and Joint Infection Registry (BAJIR) where appropriate.
