Job Description
We are currently working with a leading Social Housing provider in South Manchester, who are looking for a Building Safety Manager on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position, offering a generous pension scheme and hybrid working. The salary for the role is up to £51,366.00 dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Building Safety knowledge, and would have worked within a public sector organisation before.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Leading the Building Safety Team, ensuring risk assessments, inspections, and resident engagement are delivered to high standards and aligned with Building Safety Act requirements
2. Developing and maintaining the Golden Thread of building information, ensuring accurate, accessible, and up-to-date records across the asset lifecycle
3. Preparing, implementing, and regularly reviewing Safety Case Reports to demonstrate effective risk management and compliance
4. Acting as the duty holder and subject matter expert on building safety legislation, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and regulatory frameworks
5. Managing external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, overseeing procurement, contract negotiations, and permit-to-work systems
