Volunteering with St John Ambulance strengthens communities. From youth support and education to wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.
Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role allows you to teach young people life-saving skills. Youth Leaders help develop confidence, teamwork, self-discipline, and encourage young people to reach their potential. Together with other Youth Helpers and Leaders, you will deliver activities, sessions, and games, as well as supervise and support young people.
Sessions typically last 1.5-2 hours weekly during term time. We encourage you to join at least once a month, though weekly involvement is highly appreciated.
For a small time commitment, you will gain a great sense of satisfaction and pride from delivering an essential service that benefits you, the young people, and the community.
