At Nationwide the CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) platform team are responsible for delivering the automation pipelines that enable efficient software delivery for our engineering teams. The teams develop and support the full range of CI/CD tools and orchestrations and use DevOps frameworks and techniques and associated controls to continually improve our CI/CD product offering. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for defining Target Operational Models and transitions as we look to align and then integrate our Virgin Money CI/CD operations. The role will also deliver the full range of Business Analysis products and services to enable effective CI/CD delivery, from Business Case development to Acceptance into Service of new technology products. The ideal candidate will have a specialist/niche technical understanding of CI/CD and associated DevOps methodologies, strong analytical skills and strong working knowledge of evidencing and applying technology change related guardrails and controls within a DevOps environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders to achieve business success and help us to meet the Society’s needs. What you’ll be doing A key priority for this role is to support our colleagues within the CI/CD team and use your strong communication skills to engage with diverse teams across the organisation. You will help understand their business needs and work with the Platform Owners translate needs into technical functional/non-functional requirements, for CI/CD Engineering teams to deliver. You will work with the Lead Business Analyst to establish close relationships with the CICD leadership team and key stakeholder groups such as CIOs, Cloud Platforms and Operations, and Security functions. With your deep technical knowledge and experience of DevOps approaches, you’ll deliver requirements, processes, and designs that achieve the best business outcomes for CI/CD. You will consider and evidence the applicable guardrails, controls frameworks, and regular attestation activities along with regulatory communications and documentation. You will be capable of owning and managing your deliverables with minimal impact on engineering teams due to your specialist technical knowledge and experience. You’ll be using your own initiative in this role and required to work with a pro-active mindset and an aim to identify, escalate and resolve issues/risks. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll strive for continuous improvement in your delivery and expertise, provide role model behaviours and support to your analysis peers, and share Best Practice techniques. About you As a minimum requirement, you’ll: Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and the CI/CD Lead Business Analyst to agree demand and resource prioritisation and analysis approaches related to CI/CD initiatives. Deliver high quality analysis products and services and work with the DevOps teams to implement solutions aligned to their ways of working. Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business priorities and identify areas for analysis to improve. Have experience at delivering, prioritising, sequencing and sizing Business Analysis activities Possess proven analytical skills in defining business outcomes, business requirements, process modelling, operational designs, target operating models and supporting end-to-end delivery Are adept at problem identification and resolution, providing meaningful insight and recommendations to facilitate solution discussions Have a strong understanding of project governance deliverables, value delivery frameworks, and technology guardrails and controls relevant to CI/CD technology delivery and operations Adopt a collaborative approach, working in partnership with other change roles, ensuring the full breadth of change is understood Possess the ability to confidently communicate, with the ability to present information to senior stakeholders reporting on progress, blockers and challenges Ability to accommodate differing needs of multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams, consisting of internal and external resources e.g. Third-party suppliers, remote colleagues and contractors Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
