SEND Tutor – Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced SEND Tutor in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire to join our expanding Alternative Provision Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a meaningful role, supporting children and young people with SEND who are unable to access mainstream education through 1:1 or small group tuition.
📍 Location: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire
đź’· Salary: ÂŁ14.00-ÂŁ17.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
⏰ Working Hours: Flexible (Part-time, Full-time, Sessional)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
2. Support children and young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties
3. Provide tuition in a range of settings, including homes, schools, community centres or online
4. Monitor progress, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
5. Liaise effectively with the Newstaff education team and local authority contacts
Essential Skills & Experience:
6. QTS, PGCE or demonstrable tutoring experience
7. Proven background working with SEND learners
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
9. Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and families
10. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
11. Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
12. Driving licence and access to your vehicle (desirable)
