About The Role:
At Synergize, the sister company of GFM, we deliver responsive and void maintenance services to Ministry of Defence (MOD) housing estates across the South East. Due to continued business growth, we are now looking to recruit multiple Quantity Surveyors (Commercial Support) to strengthen our expanding commercial team. In these roles, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate cost capture, effective financial control, and compliance with contractual obligations—ultimately supporting the delivery of high-quality housing for military families.
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically worked between 8:30am and 5:00pm, within a core operating window of 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring accurate valuation of completed works
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors to secure competitive quotations and verify costs
* Track and manage costs related to property voids and reactive maintenance
* Capture all revenue-generating activities and support the preparation of monthly valuations and applications
* Work collaboratively with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors to resolve financial or contractual queries
* Provide commercial oversight and continuity in the absence of the Commercial Director
* Ensure alignment with contract requirements and NHF Schedule of Rates (where applicable)
About You:
* Background in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally within the property maintenance or housing sector
* Familiarity with cost control, valuations, and interim/final account processes
* Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates is a strong advantage
* Highly numerate, organised, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident working with commercial reporting tools
* Positive, solution-focused attitude and the ability to work independently or within a team
