Specialist Mentor - Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln)
Randstad Student Support is seeking passionate and qualified Specialist Mentors to work with autistic students at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln. This is a hybrid role, requiring both in-person and online sessions to accommodate student preferences. Successful candidates must be able to travel to the university.
As a Specialist Mentor, you will provide 1-on-1 support to students throughout the academic year, guiding them in:
Understanding academic requirements
Building confidence and independence as a learner
This specialist role demands specific qualifications and training aligned with the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) framework set by the DfE. Hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree (level 6).
~ Have completed extensive training in adult autism. 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package)
~ OR The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies.
