SHEQ Manager
Location: Exeter (with UK-wide travel)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Company Car/Allowance + Benefits
A leading construction engineering organisation is seeking a SHEQ Manager to drive Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards across its UK operations. This is a key role focused on compliance, continuous improvement, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and improve SHEQ systems in line with ISO 9001 & ISO 45001
* Ensure compliance with UK health & safety and environmental legislation
* Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across sites
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
* Develop emergency preparedness and risk mitigation strategies
* Promote sustainability and environmental best practice
* Deliver SHEQ training and support workforce development
* Engage with regulators, clients, and senior stakeholders
Skills & Experience
* Proven SHEQ experience within construction or engineering environments
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and ISO standards
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
* NEBOSH (or equivalent)
* IOSH (desirable)
