Band 7 Physiotherapist in Medical Specialties

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, person centred and highly motivated clinician to lead the physiotherapy service to our medical specialties with Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, to cover for maternity leave.
The successful applicant will be joining a well-established, successful and friendly team, working alongside the other Band 7 Physiotherapist leading this team. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and flexible in their approach, and is able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership in the assessment and management of medical patients.
Using your clinical expertise the successful candidate will work collaboratively to provide safe and effective care. They will work with a diverse range of patients across multiple specialty areas. They will help facilitate early discharges and work to improve discharge profiles in these areas. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical teams on the wards and other professional groups and services across NHS Grampian. They will play an integral role in assisting teams and colleagues to confidently apply the home first principles.
This post holder will sit alongside a newly developing service which will be providing service to this patient group over 7 days a week. They will need to work collaboratively to ensure the delivery and embedding of change. They must be able to work well under pressure and be able to challenge the multi-disciplinary team, in a constructive manner to ensure safe and appropriate patient care is offered at all times. They will be responsible for the line management and performance management of a team of staff
They will contribute to our out of hours services which may be respiratory and/or supporting the MUSC pathway at commencement of this post. NHS Grampian is proactively working towards services over 7 days and this may change the out of hours commitments.
