We are seeking a hard-working and dedicated School Cleaner to work in our friendly school. You will work as part of a team, undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment is always clean.
Your new role
This school is currently looking for a reliable part-time cleaner to start as soon as possible. Your time in this role will include:
1. To clean all school areas, including all corridors, stairs, teaching rooms, toilets and bathrooms (both staff and pupils), staff rooms, library, offices and meetings rooms to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
2. Cleaning is to be done as per agreed specifications using equipment and materials appropriate to the different surfaces.
3. To clean and restock toilets with toilet paper and practical rooms with paper towels as appropriate
4. To carry out periodic deep cleans during school holidays
5. To work with the Caretaker or Site Assistant to prepare for events and clear up afterwards
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:
6. Experience of cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning
7. Ability to work under their own initiative without supervision
8. Aware of the importance of providing a quality service and satisfying the cleaning requirements of the school
9. Aware of the importance of hygiene in the workplace
10. Ability to work on your own and to work as part of a team
11. Reliable
We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced
DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
