Welsh Teacher- Secondary
Contract type- Part-time (2 days, flexible)
Location- Blackwood
Salary- £172.98/day
We are partnering a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school based in Blackwood, to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Welsh Teacher to start September 2026.
This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner with a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and maintaining excellent standards of behaviour and engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role within a supportive department and contribute to the continued development of Welsh across the school.
The role:
* Deliver consistently high standards of teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
* Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupil progress and attainment
* Use assessment data effectively to inform practice and raise achievement
* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
* Uphold high expectations around behaviour, engagement and academic outcomes
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Welsh
* Strong, confident classroom management with the ability to create a purposeful learning environment
* A clear commitment to raising standards and driving pupil progress
* Excellent organisational skills and a proactive, professional approach
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and the wider school community
