Role: Contracts & Subcontracts Manager – Contract Delivery 1829775

Summary of Role:
Raytheon UK's, Training Transformation Business, has a great opportunity for an experienced Contracts & Subcontracts Manager to join our growing team. The Training Transformation team delivers a wide range of programmes in Training Integration, Training Equipment, Training Delivery and Training Simulation.
This role will join the Commercial team in a flagship programme delivering cutting edge technology to one of Raytheon UK’s most strategically important UK MOD customers.
The programme itself comprises of supply of a series of training devices and courses, modification of existing training and adopting a new approach to crew training for the one of the most strategically important new naval platforms.
Main Duties:
16. Responsible for key commercial elements of the programme including customer relationship
17. Deliver value to the business and be an enabling function to the programme success
18. Develops and delivers innovative commercial solutions in support of proposals and customer requirements, together with administration of complex due diligence activity
19. Negotiates a range of contractual agreements and manages non routine issues through senior functional management, referring to counsel when necessary
20. Identifying and manging contract change throughout the contract life cycle to maximise opportunities and reduce risks to performance
21. Shares responsibility for programme and bid financial performance with multi-functional leadership team
22. Produces business cases/briefing materials for senior management reviews
23. Support programme and bid financial performance with multi-functional team
24. Support the business finance function to manage the invoicing and cash collection process.
25. Participation in cross-functional improvement activities
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
26. Experience in managing large, complex Contracts ideally with UK MOD customers
27. Experience of negotiating Commercial Agreements in the Defence, Cyber, Training or Aerospace Industry.
28. Excellent communication skills, combined with a flexible and positive attitude.
29. Good working knowledge of import/export legislation.
30. Experience of programme financial management and how to apply that to risk and opportunities.
31. Strong record of problem solving with an ability to drive performance through others.
32. Experience of Customer Relationship Management
33. Qualification at Degree level or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
34. A willingness and ability to travel occasionally within the UK
Desirable:
35. An understanding of the Defence and Security public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR)
36. Experience of working with a diverse customer group based within Government departments, either as a prime or subcontractor
37. Experience of working with international suppliers and customers from source selection to programme delivery, including collaborative working arrangements
38. Multi-functional team leader experience, including coaching and mentoring experience.
