Exam Access Arrangement Assessor Salary: £35,000 FTE (Pro Rata £21,000) Location: Hitchin area, working across group sites Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time (3 days per week, 0.6 fraction) We are seeking a qualified and experienced Exam Access Arrangement Assessor to support learners by ensuring fair and compliant exam arrangements across a respected Further Education provider. Role Responsibilities Role Responsibilities * Undertake assessments for Exam Access Arrangements in accordance with JCQ guidelines, including completion of Form 8s and online approvals. * Assess students using appropriate diagnostic materials and produce high-quality professional reports. * Liaise with tutors, students, and support staff to ensure appropriate exam arrangements are in place. * Collaborate with the Exams Office to confirm all approved arrangements are accurately recorded and implemented. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and approvals on college systems. * Stay informed of current JCQ guidance and best practice to ensure ongoing compliance. Essential Requirements Essential Requirements * A recognised specialist assessor qualification (e.g., Level 7 SpLD qualification) meeting JCQ criteria. * Experience completing Exam Access Arrangement assessments within an education setting. * Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and assessment documentation. * Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports. * Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively. * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
