Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to support the Head of Electrical Operations in delivering key projects across the business. The Role: As a Senior Electrical Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Electrical Operations team, managing multiple commercial electrical compliance contracts from inception through to completion. You will work across a diverse range of environments including schools, offices, industrial facilities, warehouses, public buildings, and healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities: Operational & Contract Management Manage and lead a team of 10 field-based engineers Act as a day-to-day operational lead for technical staff and electricians Liaise with site teams, clients, and specialist subcontractors Monitor progress, report on completed works, and escalate issues where required Ensure all works are delivered to high quality and compliance standards Manage labour allocation, materials, and contract requirements Identify and implement improvements to contract efficiency Attend client meetings to discuss progress, performance, and requirements Conduct regular site visits to ensure smooth delivery of projects Technical & Compliance Provide expert technical support and problem-solving to engineers and clients Support NICEIC compliance requirements, acting as a Qualified Supervisor Ensure adherence to BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice People Leadership & HR Support the Head of Department with people management responsibilities Contribute to HR processes, including disciplinary meetings where required Provide clear and factual input to ensure fair and consistent outcomes About You: You will be an experienced electrical professional with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in managing commercial electrical contracts. Essential Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Contracts or Project Manager NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18 or later) Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent) NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations Experience managing commercial-sector electrical contracts Excellent communication and IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong customer service skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Desirable: Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, SSSTS, or SMSTS) Experience managing both small- and large-scale projects Benefits: Company van or car allowance Fuel card Company pension Increased holiday allowance with length of service Ongoing training and career progression opportunities Annual salary reviews
