Cookstown Health Centre - Domestic Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Domestic Assistant Band 2
SALARY

Part time 15-20 hours a week / Mon-Fri -
INITIAL LOCATION:
Cookstown Health Centre
Essential Criteria : Cleaning experience
The Domestic Assistant provides general cleaning, patient food service and associated duties.
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Floor maintenance duties to include use of vacuum cleaners, buffing and floor scrubbing machines.
2. Cleaning all sanitary areas.
3. Cleaning of all furniture/fittings and general dusting duties, low- and high-level cleaning.
4. Removal and rehanging of bed screens, curtains etc.
5. Cleaning of walls, windows, glass partitions and other periodic duties as required such as carpet cleaning.
6. The collection and removal of waste and replacement of waste sacks, hand towels, soaps, toilet rolls, etc.
7. Receipt and storage of cleaning materials.
8. General securing of buildings. (May include operation of electronic alarm systems).
9. Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Support Services Supervisor and General Manager Domestic Services Trustwide.
10. Observation of Trust Policies and Procedures relating to Domestic Services as instructed.
11. Removal and re-changing of bed screens and curtains.
