Harvey Nash is delighted to be working with a valued public sector client on an exciting User Researcher contract role. We're looking for a skilled User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary digital team, helping to shape user-centred services aligned with Scottish Government Service Standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a strategic digital transformation programme, working in an agile environment and engaging directly with users to improve service design and delivery.
Key Details
* Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
* Duration: 6 months
* Location: Edinburgh - 2 days per week on-site
* Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for:
* Leading user research activities across digital projects
* Creating and socialising user personas, journeys, and site maps
* Producing wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for feedback
* Conducting usability testing and user interviews
* Embedding test-and-learn practices across the organisation
* Collaborating with product, digital, and data teams
* Ensuring alignment with SG Digital Standards
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in agile user research within public sector or similar environments
* Strong understanding of Scottish Government Digital Standards
* Proficiency with design and collaboration tools
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Relevant certifications in research methodologies or Microsoft technologies
