Our Emergency Department has recently received a £3.5 million investment to upgrade facilities and create more emergency cubicles. The department includes 5 resuscitation beds, 23 major treatment cubicles and a dedicated mental health assessment room, and works alongside an Urgent Care Treatment Centre to attend to around 14,000 patients each month.
What We Are Looking For
Motivated, enthusiastic Band 5 nurses with experience in Acute Care settings who demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude and a desire to provide effective and efficient emergency care.
Experience with structured support and development programmes, a tailored induction, and a period of supernumerary status is preferred.
Training & Development
As part of the team, you will develop a plethora of skills and be supported in attending training for the following courses:
 * Advanced Life Support (ALS)
 * Paediatric Intermediate Life Support (PILS)
 * Plaster of Paris course
 * Resuscitation skills (including Non‑Invasive Ventilation)
 * Manchester Triage
 * Immediate Life Support (ILS)
You will also develop confidence and competence in venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation, and will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the Emergency Department once you feel confident and competent.
