Fire and Security Engineer
£40‑45k basic for 40 hours per week, overtime available. Company Van.
We are looking for a Fire and Security Engineer based within commuting distance to Bristol. The role requires covering both Service and Maintenance, with occasional site visits.
ISOC Tier 1 Engineer
Location: Horwich, Bolton
Salary: £28,500 + Benefits
Hours: 24/7 Shift‑Based Role
The Opportunity: We are expanding our Secure Operations Centre in Bolton and are looking for motivated ISOC Tier 1 Engineers to join our growing team.
* Trouble‑shoot environmental infrastructure issues (Windows, RHEL, SAN, GPOs, WSUS, AD, AppLocker, etc.)
* Work with the Network, Engineering and SOC teams to troubleshoot issues that affect End Users
* Work directly with client leads to resolve escalated incidents
* Patching and maintenance of test and live environments, including installing Anti‑Virus, WSUS, RHEL & other product updates
* Work with PKI certificates and SIEM tooling
* Provide support to Engineering & Test teams
* AD administration activities: accounts, groups, memberships, permissions, etc.
* Participate in rota for on‑call to ensure 24/7/365 support is provided
Requirements: Experience with VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, Windows AD, DNS, WSUS, RDS, McAfee, RHEL. Applications such as SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, CASD are a plus.
Benefits: £55k base, 10% DV bonus, 5% bonus, 28 days A/L & bank holidays.
