Appleby Westward is the SPAR wholesaler and retailer covering the West of England.
Our Retail Distribution Centre and Support Offices are based in Saltash, Cornwall, employing around 2,000 colleagues who support our wholesale distribution operations for our independent retail estate, company-owned retail stores, and the SPAR network.
Our SPAR retail stores are a leading convenience brand, operating in communities from Chichester in the east to Land's End in the west, and Bristol and Salisbury in the north. They offer convenience goods, groceries, chilled foods, food-to-go, and essential local services such as Post Office, lottery, and online collection and delivery services.
We pride ourselves on serving our communities and providing efficient, quality customer service. We are also active in charity and community support, fundraising for local organizations and our main charity partner, Marie Curie.

The Customer Service Assistant Role
