Libertatem Healthcare Group is seeking a Cerebral Palsy Support Worker to join their team in Merthyr Tydfil. The role involves providing comprehensive care and support to a young man in his 20s with complex needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and mobility issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the client's wellbeing.

The Cerebral Palsy Support Worker will be responsible for supporting and engaging with the client's personalized routines, including the use of hoists. They will assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility, administer medication, and monitor the client's health conditions. The role also involves providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records of care, and collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

We have an excellent opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client in Merthyr Tydfil, county Borough.


Our client is a young man in his 20's who has complex needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and mobility issues. He lives at home with his mum, her partner and the clients dog, enjoys an active social life with his friends and attends church.


Due to the client's support needs the successful candidate will ideally be male but can be female, have some experience working with complex needs, hold a full UK driving licence and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.


70 per hour


Hours: Full or part-time - up to 40 per week (12 or 24 hour shifts with sleeping nights, required seven days a week)

Operating on a national basis, we provide our clients with care and support wherever they are located. Supporting, and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
Providing emotional support and companionship.
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
