As a Logistics Manager, youll be integral to ensuring the seamless flow of materials and information, overseeing shipping, warehousing, and inventory control. No two days are alike; youll face new challenges, take ownership of key tasks, and work closely with teams to bring products from conception to operational deployment.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager:
1. Oversee shipping and stores KPIs, ensuring performance standards are met.
2. Lead internal and external audits, including industry standards and customs compliance.
3. Develop team skills through coaching, setting objectives, and performance management.
4. Develop and refine internal procedures to meet current regulations and business needs.
5. Simplify processes and promote a proactive, ownership mindset.
6. Control goods inwards, coordinate with quality and procurement teams, and manage freight costs.
7. Establish relationships with freight forwarders and international shippers.
8. Manage internal warehouse operations, including inventory counts and space optimisation.
