Your new role
Bookkeeper – Role OverviewThis hands-on bookkeeping position supports the finance function with accurate and timely management of financial records and transactions.
Key responsibilities include: Core Accounting Duties
1. Processing purchase and subcontractor invoices
2. Raising quarterly sales invoices
3. Entering bank payments and receipts with correct allocation
4. Posting monthly wage journals
Reconciliation & Reporting
5. Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
6. Monthly intepany balance reconciliation
7. Ad-hoc loan and supplier statement reconciliations
8. Monthly CIS reporting and quarterly VAT submissions via Sage 50
Financial Administration
9. Setting up payments on NatWest online banking
10. Filing purchase invoices and maintaining organised records
11. Supporting cash flow management through aged creditor reports and daily bank monitoring
Ad-Hoc Support
12. Assisting with various finance-related tasks as needed
What you'll need to succeed
13. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
14. Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts would be advantageous (ideally for CIS).
15. Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
16. Experience of intepany accounting and loan reconciliations
17. Solid Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation
18. Capable of handling ad-hoc tasks and multitasking effectively
