The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our growing team. You will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, helping clients solve energy reliability and sustainability challenges through our innovative solutions.
You will work closely with the Commercial Director and wider technical team to engage prospects, shape proposals, and drive adoption across target markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and engage with new prospects across key sectors such as construction, logistics, data centres, events, and telecoms.
* Promote our methanol-fuelled power systems as a reliable and low-emission alternative to traditional diesel generators.
* Manage the full sales life cycle from lead generation through to contract close, with support from the technical and commercial teams.
* Research and qualify prospects, tailoring outreach to highlight how our solutions address their specific energy needs and ESG goals.
* Build strong relationships with decision-makers in operations, procurement, and sustainability teams.
* Attend industry events, exhibitions, and customer sites to represent the business and generate leads.
* Provide input into commercial strategies, customer segmentation, and product positioning based on market feedback.
* Collaborate with marketing and engineering to support proposal development, case studies, and technical demonstrations.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM and produce regular sales activity reports.
About You
* 2-5 years of B2B business development or technical sales experience-ideally in energy, clean tech, construction, or industrial services.
* Strong interest in energy transition, sustainability, or low-carbon technologies.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
* Results-driven and self-starting, with a consultative approach to selling.
* Comfortable working in a start-up or scale-up environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
* Ability to understand and convey technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
* A full driving licence is a plus.
